PT Racial Equity Challenge
Day 15: Take Notice
How observant are you? Do you notice differences in others? Do you believe that you are color blind? Is being color-blind possible? Noticing a person’s race does not suggest a racial bias, however what we do after we register a person’s color may. Taking notice improves your awareness. It not only makes you a more observant person but also gives you the opportunity to act in inequitable situations.

Reflection
Think of the last five TV shows you watched and last five books you read. How many included people of color?
What percentage of your day is spent with people of the same race?
Do you notice people of different races at the grocery store or in the community? Do you behave differently around them?
