Celebrating and Fostering Kindness in Peters Township

Domestic Violence Awareness

It’s good to be blessed; it’s better to be a blessing.

  • In Pennsylvania, 109 victims died from domestic violence last year.

  • 56% were killed by a current or former partner.

  • 40 victims were killed by a family member.

Housing is safety for survivors of domestic violence and their children. Access to housing allows victims to break free from abusers and escape homelessness. This is life-changing – and lifesaving – for everyone in the family.

The Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern Pennsylvania needs help to re-stock their safe houses. Please consider purchasing something using the Amazon wish list below. All items are shipped directly to DVSSP.

PT Racial Equity Challenge

Recognizing and correcting racism is not a one-time event; rather, it is an ongoing process. Conventional wisdom says it takes about three weeks to form a new habit, so the 21-Day Racial Equity Challenge can help all of us cultivate self-awareness and intentionality to affect social change.
